(Little) Big bed

A few times when we've gone out to friends, as well as up at Falls Creek, Genevieve seemed quite comfortable with sleeping in a 'big bed' as she calls it. When given the offer of her portacot up at Falls she said "Big bed Daddy, not sleepin in little bed'. Sure, it meant she could get up if she felt like it, but generally we thought it was pretty cool.

We thought about taking the sliding wall off her cot, but it would still be pretty high. But, Narnar found that Target had a toddler bed - sized to fit her existing cot mattress. It arrived yesterday with the family birthday celebrations. We put it together yesterday and after a quick test with the crash-test-bears, Genevieve christened it last night.

Slept all the way through, and even stayed in it until Naomi went in to get her once she'd woken up.

Our little girl is growing up :'(
