One of the benefits of going to the Santa Mailbox in the city, was also seeing the Myer Christmas windows. Thankfully, we got there early before it was too stupid.
Often, when we're out (sometimes on the CargoBike) Genevieve will spot convertibles or 'cab-ree-oh-lay's as I'm teaching her to say. She's even good enough to spot ones with fabric roofs, if they have them up.
Anyway, our friend Iain was leaving Nai's birthday drinks, and put his top down on his SAAB. So Vievey had to go and have a look, of course.
This year, Genevieve started ballet with KinderBallet. It's pitched at the younger girls, and just gets them to practice doing things as a group, with graceful walking and some simple ballet poses - nothing too serious and even no real formal need for an outfit. So, my expectations for cute were high, but actual performance, no so much.
You see, Genevieve had been chosen as the leader for her group in their final, end of year concert. Yes, she was the Prima Ballerina in her first ever recital.
We are all SO proud of her. It was amazing. And, I'm not ashamed to say, I bawled my eyes out.
She'd been cooped up at home for days, and it was really starting to show, so I decided we'd catch the train and head to the museum. (She'd been a few times, but I had still yet to see the new - or no-so-new one).
On the way, there were TOO many photo opportunities in Carlton Gardens. I was obviously making a little too much use of it, as Genevieve's come out with :
"Daddy. Can you stop taking lots and lots of photos so we can go to the museum?"
So, I'd been told. We had a ball. I think in a few years, we'll get a yearly membership so we can take both the girls there semi-regularly.
