Used in context :
"Look Daddy, THIS!" - just pointing out something.
"No Daddy... Vievey's THIS!" - clutching something tightly to her chest.
or my personal favourite "THIS! THIIIIIIiiissss!" When she was unwrapping presents.
SO cute!
For Christmas, Pop gave Genevieve (and Mummy and Daddy) a Friends of the Zoo membership. So today was the first time we went for 'free' - and we can go as many times as we want for the next year.
We rode on the bicycles (Genevieve in her trailer, of course), and it takes a shade under 15 minutes. So all things being equal, about the same time it takes to drive and park. Cool!
As usual, Genevieve had a ball, and we met Kellie, Erich and the boys there, so she had extra-fun. She wasn't that happy with the peacock though, as it came and stole her biscuit. Never stand between the girl and her food!
We picked this up the Saturday before we went away to Adelaide. There was a small rigmarole - the person who had it hadn't returned it yet, so we were given their address. They hadn't disassembled it, and it was out in the rain (and dirt/dust) so I broke it down and she cleaned it.
But we got it home, and as you can see, Genevieve loves it.
Genevieve, what's Daddy's name?
"Tory"
And what's Mummy's name?
"Nay-YO-meee"
And what's Vievey's name?
"Gen-eh-ve-en-ev"
(Still some work to go on that one - it changes every time).
And who's that? (pointing to Santa)
"Sanna tawz"
And where does Nar-nar live?
"Bell-ARatt"
So cute! When she says an 'L' she sticks her tongue out crooked.
And where does Nanna live?
"Sunbry"
But, seeing how we were heading to Adelaide, it was a chance to finally meet Sami and her daughter Melissa. Sami had only recently got her driver's licence, and drove to meet up with us at our place at West Beach.
We had a cuppa, and the girls sorta played separately. Then we walked the block to the beach and that's when they really started to get along.
So yeah - can't recommend http://www.bubclub.com.au highly enough. Full of the nicest people!
Greta and Ab and their kids Aya, Griffin and Lily are currently in Melbourne. We stayed with them for a few days (this is them doing a bit of karaoke in Washington DC) when we did our world tour, and now they are scoping out Melbourne with the prospect of moving out here.
Anyway, it was Aya's birthday, and they are staying about 3 minutes walk away from it, so it was off to the Collingwood Children's Farm again. Yay!
Earlier in that week, the call was put out for if someone... err... had Santa's contact details. Well, I'd found him on FaceBook so I put a note on his wall to see if he could make it ;)
Santa had a pretty full-on greeting with every kid in the place mobbing him at once. He had a bag of lollies to hand out and got to it promptly, as it was pretty hot there.
When he went to say goodbye, he'd already been upstaged. Donny, this year's regular musical guest, was doing his final performance and the masses didn't really care about Santa any more.
